Relax in Ibiza as part of Mallorca holiday
People planning to take a holiday in Mallorca may wish to make a short stopover on the neighbouring island of Ibiza.
Carmen Hernandez Gomez, market analyst at the Spanish Tourism Office, says the landmass is a beautiful and tranquil spot with a range of peaceful and enjoyable activities on offer.
She recommends the spa treatments and yoga classes that are run in Ibiza, while local cuisine is also well worth a taste.
The expert goes on to suggest pursuits such as mountain biking and boating are particularly worthwhile in the resort, with smaller islands like Formentera easily accessible by sea.
"Get to know the locals [and] its culture," Ms Gomez urges, adding the weekend markets are a top opportunity to do this.
And for some of the most beautiful views around, look out across the coast during sunset.
The tourism chief was speaking after research by trivago found the cost of staying in accommodation in Mallorca is falling.
