Puerto Pollensa an 'idyllic' place for a Mallorca villa holiday
In an article for the Daily Express, travel writer Chris Shearer said the resort is sleep and old-fashioned, making it perfect for those who enjoy the quiet life.
He said the non-tidal waters of the Mediterranean are great for children, as they can paddle safely in the warm sea, surrounded by fish.
And he insisted that eating out in Puerto Pollensa is a "joy" thanks to the many local restaurants serving "invariably excellent" food at reasonable prices.
In terms of day trips, families can visit the nearest water park at Alcudia, which is ten minutes away, or visit the Roman town of Pollensa.
Mr Shearer described the latter as "charming" and insisted: "It's worth climbing the 413 steps of the tree-lined Via Crucis for splendid views."
Holiday makers can book a Mallorca villa in Pollensa, where they can wander the town's cobbled streets and shop for locally-made clothing and crafts.
