Fashionistas who are heading to sun-kissed climates this summer, like around Mallorca villas, have been advised on how to keep their hair looking fresh in hot temperatures.
Celebrity hairdresser Mark Hill has pointed out that "protection is essential" when the sun is blazing in the sky.
This is because such heat can easily cause hair to become dry or lighter in colour, which Mr Hill admits some women do enjoy.
However, he acknowledged: "Some people love the sun-kissed look, as it can be very flattering, especially when you have a tan, but when the tan has gone, all you are left with is faded hair."
So to keep the hair looking lovely when in villas in Mallorca, the two-time British Hairdresser of the Year advised wearing a sun hat and cleaning out sea water following a dip in the ocean.
Mr Hill's comments come soon after DiscountVouchers.co.uk research found that over half of Brits spend up to £500 enhancing their looks prior to travelling abroad.
