Plans to expand Llevant Nature Reserves in Mallorca
People preparing trips to villas in Mallorca could soon be able to see an expansion of the Spanish island's Llevant Nature Reserves.
This is after the Arta Council proposed that the boundaries of the national park be widened, See Mallorca reported.
Except for the Partido Popular, all parties which attended a council meeting on the subject voted in favour of the idea to include the nearby estate of Es Canons into the Llevant Nature Reserves.
The Llevant Peninsula is already home to a wide array of eye-catching sights for families to view while occupying Mallorca villas.
Located in the north east of the island, the reserves are made up of miles of hilly terrain and a host of unspoilt and remote beaches.
Bird watching is one of the popular interests to enjoy when in the area, while colonies of rare tortoises and stretches of shrubs and heathers are among the other delights of nature.
