A child's experience on a plane, perhaps when journeying to Mallorca villas, does not need to be a daunting one.
British Airways gave this view, before giving some advice to parents in order to make time on an airline fun and comfortable.
One of its senior cabin crew members, Justin Cox, who is a father of two himself, commented: "As a parent I understand that travelling with kids can at first seem like a daunting prospect, but it really needn't be."
A measure that mums and dads may want to carry out to keep their children happy is to pack a selection of treats, so that youngsters can be distracted during times of long delays.
Meanwhile, a favourite teddy or blanket has been recommended to parents by British Airways so that kids will feel comfortable when trying to get to sleep while on a plane.
Once in villas in Mallorca, there will be plenty to entertain both parents and children, including such fun attractions as the Palma Aquarium and the Magaluf-based Aquapark.
