Palma to welcome "powerful" art exhibition
From July 24th, the works of illustrious Bosnian artist Mersad Berber will be displayed for holiday makers to enjoy and discuss with their fellow travellers.
Whatsonwhen claims that around 60 paintings will be on display at the "powerful" retrospective - with some works dating back to the 1970s and some still unfinished.
Speaking of the artist, critic Edward Lucie Smith said that the first thing that springs to mind about Berber is his "astonishing skill as a draughtsman".
Berber is said to posses a "fullness and solidity that few artists can manage" and he draws with a "fluency and confidence that has almost disappeared" from the modern art scene.
Most of the luxurious villas in Mallorca are based on the north of the island, so a visit to the exhibition could be combined with a day trip to the capital, as a visit to Palma's timeless cathedral could be something holiday makers may not want to miss.
