Pair of soap stars take holidays in Mallorca

A couple of well-loved TV soap faces have been enjoying holidays in Mallorca, Brits looking for a last-minute getaway may want to note.

Coronation Street starlet Helen Flanagan and Eastenders star Sid Owen have both been spotted on the Spanish island hot spot soaking up the sun.

Helen, who has shot to fame nationwide for her role as Rosie Webster in the Manchester-based soap, dazzled in a multi-toned bikini as she walked Mallorca's golden beaches.

A source associated with the actress told the Daily Star: "Helen and her best mate Gemma Morris decided they needed a bit of sun and booked their flights the night before. She had a great time with Gemma, it was a typical girlie holiday."

Sid, who is known in Albert Square fictionally as Ricky Butcher, was also enjoying a walk around the sands of Mallorca, though he was accompanied by his actress partner, Polly Parsons.

As well as traversing the beach, the pair took advantage of the hot summer weather on the island to enjoy a dip in the destination's sea.
