New flights increase Mallorca holiday options
The introduction of new flights by Irish carrier Aer Lingus will create additional possibilities and potential travel routes for people planning a holiday in Mallorca.
Cork Airport has announced the transport provider is to add two services to its weekly timetable between southern Ireland and the Spanish island.
The new operation will start at the end of March, which could be considered perfect timing for those who plan to head to the resort for some early summer sun.
Commenting on the airline's decision to expand its portfolio of flights, both to Mallorca and elsewhere, Aer Lingus's director of comunciations Declan Kearney said: "It reaffirms Aer Lingus's commitment to providing direct, low fares access for Irish customers to new and exciting destinations and we look forward to welcoming customers on these new services in 2011."
One option for holiday makers in Mallorca is to visit the nearby island of Menorca, which Carmen Hernandez Gomez, market analyst at the Spanish Tourism Office, recently described as a cultural hotspot with plenty to do.
