More to Mallorca holidays than meets the eye, says tourist
The city is a popular day trip that may be of interest to holiday makers vacationing in a Mallorca villa.
According to the Times, the island is home to a great range of beaches, watersports options and restaurants.
"There's more to the Mallorcan capital than playing sardines on a beach - such as fine eating, galleries and hotels," notes the article.
There are a number of expatriates offering activities such as sailing and horse riding on the island.
The writer spent time with one ex-Londoner who owns a yacht that he takes Mallorca holiday makers on trips with, as well as a German who owns a riding stables.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Nash writes in the Independent this week that Mallorca has become an upmarket destination that attracts fans of luxury vacations.
