More flights for those booking Mallorca villas

Brits hoping to take up villas in Mallorca this year will be given more opportunity, thanks to a new flight service to the destination.

Eastern Airways will be offering tourists the chance to fly to the Balearic island on one of its flights on Saturdays from Oxford Airport.

This will start in the middle of June and run up until the end of September, meaning holiday makers will have plenty of time to visit Mallorca villas to take in the summer sun.

David Gambier, of Oxford Airport Travel, has welcomed this decision from its travel hub, listing the many opportunities that the Spanish location offers.

He explained: "Mallorca … is increasingly raising its profile with five Michelin star restaurants, numerous luxurious properties and A-list visitors, including Jenson Button, Bob Geldof and Take That's Mark Owen."

There is plenty for tourists to do once they have arrived in Mallorca, including an enormous bay highlighting the island's north-east coast and "rugged terrain and mountain peaks" located in north-west destinations.
