Monasteries available for Mallorca villa holiday makers to visit
Those on a villa holiday in Mallorca will find a number of monastic treasures to explore in the lands around the city of Palma.
According to the Earth Times, one such delight is the Puid de Maria near Pollenca, which at a height of 330 metres above sea level, offers spectacular views out across the Mediterranean.
The cloister was built in the 14th century and has a chapel and a fortified tower, while visitors will also be able to sample the delicious paella that is cooked at the site and attracts locals from across the island every weekend.
"Step into the courtyard and you will be treated to a view over the bay of Pollenca and Cap de Formentor," the publication noted.
"In the distance can be seen the peninsula of Alcudia, the location for another cloister; Ermia de la Victoria."
Another establishment that people on Mallorca villa holidays may wish to visit is Sant Salvador, situated near Felanitx and dating back to the 14th century.
Having had their fill of the serenity and solitude, holiday makers may wish to head over to the Western Park near Magaluf, where the water rides promise fun for all.
The park is decked out with a Wild West theme and boasts a multitude of attractions, making it an ideal destination for people of all ages.
