Mallorca villas surrounded by fun-filled treats next summer

Brits who are already looking ahead to their summer 2012 holiday have been told of two reasons why they should consider snapping up villas in Mallorca.

The popular Spanish island will be ramping up its entertainment value throughout the warmer months, thanks to a pair of must-see events.

First up in June 2012 will be the Nit de Foc attraction, which is set to light up the skies of Palma de Majorca.

With free attendance for all holiday markers, the event sees grand bonfire and awe-inspiring firework displays taking place, all of which marks the beginning of the summer fiestas around Mallorca.

A trip to Pollenca in August should also be sought out in August, seeing as though the Fiesta La Patrona event is celebrated throughout this month.

Citizens and tourists alike will be on hand around the city to re-enact the clash between local hero Joan Mas and the invading Barbary Pirates which took place in 1550.
