Mallorca villas: Mad Dogs returning for second series

Television fans who are looking to book up Mallorca villas this summer may be interested to hear about the future of Sky One hit programme Mad Dogs.

The serial drama, which was shot around locations within the popular Spanish island, has been confirmed for a second series.

First hitting small screen in February, the programme featured well-known British stars such as Philip Glenister and John Simm and became so popular that it picked up a Bafta nomination.

Now, cameras will be heading back out to Mallorca, as well as Ibiza, throughout the summer so that more episodes can be filmed. These are then set to air early next year.

Andy Harries, the programme's executive producer, commented: "Mad Dogs had such an impact that it was as obvious as a dead goat that we had to do more and all the amazing cast felt the same. This time it all goes pear shaped in Ibiza!"

The first series of Mad Dogs followed the twists and turns of a group of friends as they got involved in a range of deceptive and life-threatening scenarios.
