Mallorca villas: 2m Brits heading abroad on Easter getaways

It looks as though many Brits are getting their suitcases packed and heading off to a holiday getaway, perhaps to Mallorca villas.

ABTA – The Travel Association has predicted that a total of two million people from the UK will be jetting abroad between April 21st and 26th.

When it comes to destinations, the organisation has found that Spain is still the most popular choice for Brits, including resorts within the Canary Islands and the Costa del Sol.

Egypt, Tunisia, Florida and Dubai are all ideal choices for holiday makers too, with plenty of bargains to take advantage of and sites to explore.

"Easter is the traditional curtain raiser to the summer and the Royal Wedding bank holiday has given a special boost to bookings," John McEwan, the chairman of ABTA, noted.

Brits who have decided to opt for villas in Mallorca for either their Easter or summer holiday will be boosted by the news that British Airways has expanded its capacity on flights from London City Airport to the Spanish island.
