Mallorca villa breaks to offer entertainment for art lovers
People with a passion for modern art will have the opportunity to visit a fascinating exhibition during Mallorca villa holidays this year.
A retrospective dedicated to the Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Palazuelo, who died three years ago, opened at the Museu Fundacion Juan March on June 22nd and will run until October 30th.
Travellers planning to book a villa in Alcudia, Pollensa, Sa Pobla or any other destination for a Mallorca holiday can visit the exhibition to see more than 100 works by the artist, many of which have never been shown in public before.
The display encompasses a series of drawings and paintings that represent the 20 years Palazuelo spent living and working in France between 1948 and 1968.
Visitors will be able to see how the artist created his own abstract and geometric forms of expression.
Art enthusiasts planning to visit the Museu Fundacion Juan March can also see some of the works in the institute's permanent collection, including pieces by Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro.
