Mallorca villa breaks 'offer a taste of unspoilt tourism'
Writing in the Liverpool Echo, Dawn Collinson describes the sanctuary she found while staying in a Mallorca villa in Pollensa recently.
The resort was a refreshing break from the island's busier side - it was reportedly possible to spend a day sunbathing by the lemon groves in the villa's grounds without hearing a thing.
The writer notes that "the beautiful region of Pollensa still very much belongs to nature".
"Northern Mallorca remains largely unspoilt by a commercial invasion, although it's obvious why the tourists who do come here would find it irresistible," she adds.
With its bustling squares, stone houses and proximity to Palma, Pollensa is an ideal Mallorca holiday option, Ms Collinson suggests.
According to the Pollensa Guide, the sandy beach at Puerto Pollensa is perfect for the whole family and should especially appeal to young children.
