Mallorca holidays pull tourists to Spain

According to statistics from the Frontier Tourist Movement Survey (FRONTUR), the Spanish Tourism ministry believes that 16.3 million Brits visited Spain in 2007, with a Mallorca villa holiday a possibility.

The figures state that the number of tourists visiting Spain grew by one million in 2007 with 10.2 million travellers heading to the Balearic Islands, thinkSpain reported.

Considering all that the island has to offer, including beautiful beaches and scenery, it is no surprise that holiday makers are choosing to visit.

Almond trees showcase the island's nature and they thrive in the warm temperatures and Mediterranean climate as over 117,000 trees can be found across Mallorca.

The trees were introduced in the late 18th century and locals now use the fruit in many dishes, particularly pastries as well as in beauty products and perfumes.

Taking a family villa in Mallorca will give travellers a chance to enjoy the surroundings and temperatures and relax by the private pool.
