Mallorca holidays 'perfect for families'

According to the Scotsman, a Mallorca holiday could be ideal for those looking for a lazy getaway for all the family.

The newspaper cites Alcudia and the surrounding area as being one of the best destinations on the island, which "offers relative peace and sophistication that many families will appreciate".

Those who want to keep the kids entertained on a Mallorca holiday may also want to note that a large waterpark is located in Alcudia, the Scotsman said.

Alcudia's old town is also home to a market on Sundays and Tuesdays. Other sights in the area include one of the smallest Roman amphitheatres in Spain, a bullring and the pedestrianised harbour.

According to the Independent, "Mallorca's brilliant white sand beaches and warm, fresh climate provide the island's main attraction".
