Mallorca holidays 'make top ten list'

Mallorca villas could be among the most popular visits abroad this summer, according to a new Cheapflights.co.uk survey.

The poll placed the Spanish hotspot in the top ten places to get away from the less-than-roasting summer weather this year, suggesting that the unique atmosphere and peaceful vibes of the destination continue to woo UK holiday makers.

Felantix may appeal to people looking for a down-to-earth Mallorca villa experience, offering tourists the chance to peruse relaxed streets for the locally-produced ceramics, capers or wine.

Paul Bradley, a spokesperson for the Spanish Property Owners Guild, recently emphasised the natural landscapes in Mallorca.

A key attraction of the destination is its "dramatic mountain" views, dotted with luxury villas, Mr Bradley suggested, adding that these qualities are at the best all-year-round.
