Mallorca holiday 'is calm and distinctly upmarket'
Those seeking a quiet and relaxing break may wish to consider a stay in a villa in Mallorca.
A report by the Independent identifies the Spanish island as one of the most sedate and beautiful spots in which to relax and explore.
While a handful of resorts may have made their name as party destinations, the vast majority of Mallorca remains unspoilt and perfect for travellers seeking peace.
The newspaper goes on to note the number of walking adventures that are available on the island, with its diverse landscape and vast green spaces creating ideal conditions for taking a stroll.
And it seems more people are realising this, with some 23 million people said to pass through the shiny new airport on their way to a holiday in Mallorca each year.
Jet2.com recently announced it will increase the regularity with which it flies from Manchester to Mallorca from next year.
