Mallorca a firm favourite among celebrities
It states that King Juan Carlos of Spain is just one of the famous personalities who have their own place on the Balearic island.
British actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anna Friel also have holiday homes in Mallorca where they enjoy relaxing with friends and family.
The Times points out that Mallorca is a "refined and sophisticated place" that is ideal for families.
This may be one reason why Catherine and Anna are attracted to the island, since they both have young children.
As well as sandy beaches, Mallorca also boasts an impressive capital, which the Times describes as a "mini Barcelona".
And golfing enthusiasts will enjoy trying out some of the island's 22 courses.
Catherine Zeta-Jones has expressed her love for the game in the past, claiming that the sport provides her and her husband Michael Douglas with an opportunity to spend some quality time together.
Families heading to Mallorca for a summer holiday could rent a villa in the resort of Puerto Pollensa, which is great for little ones thanks to its wide horseshoe-shaped sandy beach.
There are also a wide variety of water sports, boat trips and excursions on offer.
