Mallorca Rocks 2012 begins to take shape

The first acts for the Mallorca Rocks 2012 festival have been announced, which could encourage music fans to snap up villas in Mallorca next summer.

Up-and-coming British music sensation Ed Sheeran will be a part of the line-up to kick-start the ceremony on the Spanish island on June 5th.

The Suffolk-based artist has been working his way up the music scene since he first began recording back in 2005, though his first big break did not come until June this year when his debut since The A Team shot to number three in the UK single charts.

Sheeran has continued to add to his fanbase since then with such catchy hits as Let It Out and You Need Me, I Don't Need You, as well as releasing his debut album +.

Holiday makers heading to Spain may also want to note that Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club will be a vital part of the closing ceremony of Mallorca Rocks 2012 on September 18th.

Fans can expect to hear I Can Talk, Undercover Martyn and Something Good Can Work when the group take to the stage, as well as other standout hits from their debut album Tourist History.
