Jazz festival gets Mallorca moving
The Jazz Voyeur Festival is staged from March through to December every year, with different events taking place on the weekends throughout the year.
The festival starts again in March and has been running since 2004 to provide locals and holiday makers with entertainment to suit the most cultured of musical tastes.
Events are staged at Bellver Castle and the Patio de la Misericordia and include stars of the jazz world such as Lee Konitz and Charlie Haden.
The festival is another reason to visit Mallorca and showcases its importance as a venue for modern culture as well as more traditional activities.
Mallorca offers visitors a diverse cultural holiday as well as a chance to relax in the villa pool during the hot weather.
One of the historical sites of the island is also one of the venues for the jazz festival, Bellver Castle, located on top of a hill was used as a military prison during the 18th and 19th centuries.
