Jappeloup to be filmed in Mallorca?
Families who are preparing to visit villas in Mallorca in the near future could be able to witness the filming of a highly-anticipated French movie.
Guillaume Canet's newest blockbuster Jappeloup is set to be shot on the popular Spanish resort later in the year.
The film will star Mr Canet as the main protagonist Pierre Durand and focuses on a true story about the show jumper and his horse, named Jappeloup.
Already, the production team for the movie have visited Mallorca in order to scout possible locations to shoot scenes, with the main bulk of the filming likely to be shot at the island's San Pardo racecourse.
Brits who have a keen interest in international film-making may want to note that this is set to take place over a two-week period in the autumn.
The San Pardo venue is worth a visit by those staying in Mallorca villas in its own right, with the site famous for being the first floodlit racecourse to be opened in Europe.
