Improvements to be made at Palma Airport
People who decide to take up holidays to Mallorca villas are set to see advancements to the Spanish island's airport in the near future.
More than €4.5 million (£3.8 million) is set to be invested to enhance the facilities on offer inside Palma Airport, See Mallorca reported.
Passenger flow is one of the aspects set to be enhanced with the improvement work, while more space in the travel hub will be better used.
The space in the airport currently used for restaurants and shops is also looking to undergo a redesign, with the attractions relocated to a new area during this time.
It is hoped that the improvement work at Palma Airport can be completed by April 2012, in time for the travel hub to welcome its summer sun holiday makers.
According to figures released at London's World Travel Market, summer bookings for next year are already up from 2011's figures, with holidays to Mallorca particularly in demand.
