Holidays in Puerto Pollensa 'perfect for families'

Holidays in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca are a "perfect" option for families, according to a travel review recently published in the Manchester Evening News.

Writer Eamonn O'Neal pointed out that the destination was once a small fishing village that attracted the attention of poets and artists, which has "successfully re-invented itself as one of the island's pioneer tourist destinations".

Puerto Pollensa is located on the bay of Pollensa in the north-east of the island, which is a highly popular area for Mallorca villa holidays.

Mr O'Neal recommended the destination for people who are planning to do plenty of relaxing during their break, pointing out that it boasts several restaurants and shops, as well as a seafront walking route lined by trees and ancient walls.

Visitors can also head to the central town square, which is home to a church, as well as several bars and dining establishments.

People planning to explore the island during a Mallorca villa holiday can make use of the regular bus services that depart from the harbour in Puerto Pollensa.

Other popular destinations on the island include Sa Pobla, Alcudia and Cala d'Or.
