Golf and cycling 'top activities while staying in Mallorca villa'
Holiday makers who opt to stay in a villa in Mallorca this winter have been advised to spend their days playing golf and cycling.
Carmen Hernandez Gomez, market analyst at the Spanish Tourism Office, says the pursuits are ideally suited to the facilities and landscape of the Mediterranean island.
Mallorca is home to a total of 23 golf courses, all of which offer a different challenge in beautiful surroundings.
Meanwhile, Ms Gomez also recommends people "try any of the cycling routes", with many hotels and other establishments renting out bikes to those without their own.
And tourists who do not want to focus all their attention on Mallorca's picturesque coastline can head inland, with the expert suggesting Sineu Market is well worth a visit.
Finally, she adds treating yourself or a partner to a spa in the quaint old town area is a great way to relax.
The official tourism body of Mallorca recently described the island as "a wonderful option" for keen walkers this winter.
