Get into cycling on a Mallorca villa holiday
People planning Mallorca villa holidays next month will have the opportunity to see a high-profile sporting event on the island.
This year's outing of the Mallorca Classic, a race organised by Swiss cyclist Max Hurzeler, is scheduled for April 18th.
Holiday makers staying in Mallorca villas will be able to gather around Playa de Palma, which serves as the start and finish point for the 153km race.
One of the highlights of the contest, according to the island's tourist board, is the mountain section, which takes competitors past Puig Major, Mallorca's highest peak.
Riders also pass the Coll de Soller mountains and take in some of the destination's most spectacular landscapes.
People planning Mallorca villa holidays this year might be interested in arranging their own cycling trips.
The island's Mediterranean climate and diverse landscape make it a highly popular destination among fans of the sport.
Cycling enthusiasts will also be visiting French locations this year to catch up with the Tour de France, which will run from July 3rd to 25th.
