Families encouraged to take holidays in Spain
People seeking a family-friendly getaway in the near future may be wise to snap up villas in Mallorca.
This is after the latest ABTA 2011 Consumer Trends Survey revealed that Spain has topped the chart of the best holiday destinations for families.
ABTA – The Travel Association announced the results at The Travel Convention, which has been taking place in Palma Mallorca.
The Mediterranean in general seems to be a worthy destination spot for families, with Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal, Turkey and France joining Spain in the top ten.
Mark Tanzer, chief executive of ABTA, commented: "For many years Spain has been our favourite overseas holiday spot. One of the main reasons for this has been the amazing welcome and facilities that Spain and its people offer to families."
Those booking up Mallorca villas may want to check out to Casino de Mallorca during their stay, which opened its doors on October 3rd and houses over 70 slot machines and a raft of poker and roulette tables.
