Explore Palma's courtyards on a Mallorca villa holiday
Holiday makers planning to visit Palma during a Mallorca villa break this year can take the opportunity to see the city's historic courtyards.
The tourist board representing the Balearic Islands recommended a tour of the sites to admire their Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles.
Guided tours are available, meaning visitors will be able to learn more about the stories and heritage behind some of Palma's most significant streets, churches and monuments.
The city's oldest courtyards date back to the 13th century and the beginning of the Gothic period.
Many are located near palatial buildings that were once occupied by affluent members of society and now serve as headquarters for cultural foundations, museums and other organisations.
People planning to visit the capital city during a Mallorca villa holiday this year will also have the chance to enjoy some free concerts that traditionally take place in the spring months.
Music will be performed by groups such as the Balearic Symphony Orchestra and the Camerata Sa Nostra.
