Mallorca villa holidays could be the ideal option this month for people with an interest in sailing, with a major event set to take place in the waters off the island's capital city.
The 2010 Superyacht Cup will be based at Moll Vell in Palma from June 23rd to 25th.
Due to celebrate its eighth edition in 2010, the cup brings a noticeable sense of anticipation and excitement to Palma's historic port and the surrounding areas.
Holiday makers staying in Mallorca villas can arrange a visit to the capital to see more than 18 impressive boats that are set to take part in the regatta this month, which will range in length from 24 to 54 metres.
One of the highlights of the race, according to the tourism agency representing the Balearic Islands, is the "warm and friendly" atmosphere that exists between competing crews.
People planning Mallorca villa holidays this summer might also be interested in visiting Palma to see sights such as the spectacular cathedral and Bellver Castle.
