Enjoy an "inspirational" Mallorca holiday
A British pianist has waxed lyrical about his love for the island ahead of his performance there.
Performer Jonathan Plowright is set to wow a small and intimate crowd in Deia on April 4th as he performs the works of the late great Spanish pianist and composer Isaac Albeniz, according to the island's Daily Bulletin.
He said: "It is a wonderful island. If anyone is looking for some inspiration, there is nowhere better than Deia".
Deia can easily be reached by hire car from a villa in picturesque Pollensa and has become known as a tranquil village that acts as a retreat for the rich and famous, particularly those of an artistic persuasion.
Robert Graves made the idyllic place his home, while Boomtown Rat Bob Geldof spent a sizeable part of his summer holidaying there last year.
By combining a villa holiday in Pollensa with a visit to Deia, holiday makers can be inspired by the cultured and peaceful side of Mallorca.
