Church museum provides culture trip on Mallorca holiday
The Diocesan Museum traces the history of the Church in Mallorca and the history of ecclesiastic art on the island from the 15th century.
Having recently undergone a renovation, the museum now takes up lots of space giving holiday makers the chance to explore a large exhibition.
The museum is an educational experience for holiday makers in taking a break from a Mallorca villa and provides a chance to see some of the church's art work.
Temporary exhibitions give the museum variety and complement the permanent displays.
About 200 pieces make up the permanent exhibition of art work and it includes the works of Pere Nicard's Sant Jordi which depict a 15th century Mallorcan scene.
Holiday makers not wanting to spend a day in a museum will find plenty of other activities such as long walks, sun-bathing on the beach, or relaxing by the private villa pool.
