Book a Mallorca holiday for a visit to Rafa Nadal's homeland
Those booking Mallorca villa holidays can find out why top sportsman Rafa Nadal loves his homeland so much.
The tennis ace, who was born on the island, has become the face of a new campaign to promote tourism in Mallorca.
According to thinkSPAIN he will appear in a series of posters enjoying a round of golf and dining in top Spanish restaurants.
He will also be relaxing on Mallorca's sandy beaches, sailing along the coast on a luxury yacht and walking through the unspoilt countryside.
The advertisements will be distributed across Europe in 2010 in the hope that they will attract even more holiday makers to the island.
But it is unlikely that Nadal's involvement in the campaign is just a simple PR exercise, as the Olympic gold medallist regularly returns home for a Mallorca holiday.
He has regularly been spotted relaxing on the beach with his girlfriend soaking up the Mediterranean sun.
Those renting their own Mallorca villas can do the same, especially if they stay in the resort of Puerto Pollensa, which boasts a mile-long sandy beach which stretches around a large horseshoe bay.
