Beat the winter blues with a Mallorca villa holiday
As the UK cold snap shows little signs of really warming up any time soon, a Mallorca villa holiday could be a good way to beat the winter blues.
In an article with the Telegraph travel writer Annie Bennett gives her expert guide to a holiday in the Balearic Island over the coming months.
For the holiday makers who like to take in the sights and scenery, she recommended north Mallorca's picturesque town of Pollensa, where people can walk through the Tramuntana Mountains or down to the beaches of Puerto de Pollensa.
"You might not think of Mallorca as a winter destination, but early February is a wonderful time to visit as the almond trees are in blossom, covering the landscape with soft pink and white petals," she reported.
There are plenty of holiday villas scattered across the island suitable for families, couples and singletons, who will find a whole of host of fun things to do while on their winter holiday.
Ms Bennett advised foodies to take advantage of cookery courses on offer at venues such as EBulli, which is apparently the best restaurant in the world, where people can learn a local dish.
With average daily temperatures of around 10 degrees Celsius throughout March, Majorca could provide the remedy to defrost your winter depression.
