Art galleries 'a popular choice of those on holiday in Mallorca'
People on holiday in Mallorca have the opportunity to add themselves to the growing list of people visiting the island's quota of art galleries.
According to SeeMallorca.com, visitor numbers at the resort's exhibitions surged in 2010, despite a cut in the budgets of many establishments.
Indeed, there was a 4.6 per cent increase to 735,611 in the number of individuals who visited such attractions.
The website suggests the Es Baluard art gallery is the "jewel" of Palma and it appeared to be rewarded for its quality with a 16.3 per cent rise in guests.
Also located in the island's capital, the Solleric Casal, the Centre de Cultura Sa Nostra and the Diocese Museum all lured more individuals last year.
Those heading on a holiday in Mallorca in 2011 could contribute to current figures by enjoying time at any of the complexes.
A recent report by the Association of British Travel Agents reported by the online portal found there is likely to be an increase in people travelling to Mallorca over the next 12 months.
