Absorb some local culture during a Mallorca villa holiday

People who enjoy learning about the history and culture of their destination during trips abroad will be able to attend a special event during Mallorca villa holidays this month.

The Binissalem Stone and Craftwork Fair will be held in the town on the weekend of May 29th and 30th.

All sorts of events and activities are arranged to celebrate the area's tradition of stonework and promote local products.

Holiday makers staying in Mallorca villas can pay a visit to Binissalem in the heart of the island to see stonework demonstrations and admire some of the unique items that have been crafted by local tradesmen.

There will also be guided tours around some of the village's most significant buildings and houses.

For food fans, the highlight of the Binissalem Stone and Craftwork Fair will be the opportunity to try 'fideua', a paella-like dish made with noodles instead of rice, which is traditionally prepared in a giant bowl.

Binissalem could provide a good day-trip opportunity for people who will be staying in destinations such as Pollensa on the north coast during a Mallorca villa holiday.
