A Mallorca holiday has the 'X Factor'
Mallorca may be the perfect place for a family holiday and those with younger children may enjoy watching the tenth annual Young Musicians' Competition unfold in Soller.
The event takes place between April 18th and April 19th and is open to anyone under the age of 20. According to the island's Daily Bulletin, there are three different age categories - eight to 11, 12 to 15 and 16 to 20.
Youngsters who take part in the competition can play any instrument they like and those who think that their voice is an instrument of beauty can also perform under the watchful eyes of judges and try to bring a tear to the eye of their parents.
Those seeking a family-friendly place to stay close to Soller may like to take a look at Peurto Pollensa, with its sheltered horse-shoe bay and pedestrianised Pine Walk making it just perfect for young families.
