Villas in Lanzarote: Work on new Palace of Congress 'to be delayed'
People who like to take holidays to Lanzarote villas have been told of a delay that is likely to be made on the building of the new Palace of Congress.
Set to be based in the Canary Island's capital Arrecife, the postponement looks to be announced as a result of a lack in funding.
The Canarian government has already announced that it has no plans to make a budget available for the project in its proposals for this year.
However, despite the planned delay, those at Henning Larsen Architects, which won the contract to develop the building, are confident that the construction will eventually happen.
People staying in villas in Lanzarote may be interested to hear that the new Palace of Congress will use alternative energy and have natural ventilation once completed.
Elsewhere in Arrecife, the location's standout tourist market is set to be expanded to give it a bigger presence on the island, with this being introduced this Saturday (May 7th).
