Travellers offered 'top tips' for villa holidays

There are many ways in which travellers planning to book cheap villas in Lanzarote and other destinations this summer can save money, according to Caxton FX.

The currency exchange firm pointed out that villa holidays are becoming an increasingly popular option and highlighted the appeal of "sitting by your own pool in glorious sunshine, cool drink in hand and not having vast throngs of people shattering your peace".

In response to this trend, the company offered some "top tips" on how to take a villa holiday without breaking the bank, one of which was to "buddy up".

People who decide to take a villa holiday in Lanzarote or any other destination with a group of friends or another family will find that they get much more for their money.

Caxton FX also highlighted the benefit of travelling outside the peak months of July and August.

For families who are tied to school holidays, it can often be much cheaper to avoid booking seven-day breaks starting on a Friday or Saturday, as these are the most expensive times for flights.

Holiday makers looking forward to a Lanzarote villa break this summer also have the option of using a pre-paid currency card, which can work out cheaper than acquiring their travel money at the airport, according to Caxton FX.
