Taste Malvasia Canari wine when in Lanzarote villas
Couples who decide on a getaway to Lanzarote villas this year should be sure to seek out wine from the El Grifo bodega when hoping to relax around the destination.
That is because the oldest bodega across the whole of the Canary Islands has recently seen its Malvasia Canari produce applauded.
At the 'Les Citadelles du Vin' event in Paris, the wine picked up the honourable award of the Prestige Medal.
The drink was the only one across the Canary Islands to be honoured at the competition, and fought off over 300 other wine products to achieve the special prize.
In order to sample this wine, Brits staying in villas in Lanzarote need only visit the El Grifo bodega, which is located just a short trek away from the resort of Mozaga.
Other wines for holiday makers to sample while on this particular Canary Island include the Moscatel by the Bodegas Vega de Yuco, as well as Naturally Sweet Moscatel from Bodega Bermejo.
Each of the products was celebrated at the Agrocanarias 2011 Festival, which took place earlier this year.
