Stay at Lanzarote villa 'can guarantee a great tan'

Staying in a villa in Lanzarote is a good choice during the UK's coldest months, as the Canary Islands are blessed with some of the hottest winter sun around.

Indeed, according to the Bristol Daily Post, one thing that is assured when spending time in the region is "a great tan".

The publication goes on to explain how spots such as Lanzarote in the Canaries offer something for everybody, whether they are looking for a relaxing break or an activity holiday.

"Just off Africa, the Canary Islands are famed for year-round sunshine," the newspaper notes, adding the region will match a range of requirements.

And travelling to a villa in Lanzarote could not be simpler, as Ryanair and easyJet both offer budget flights to the popular resort.

Discover Lanzarote reveals the island boasts an average temperature of between 21 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius, depending on the time of year.
