Spanish artist Cesar Manrique honoured in Lanzarote

Brits with a keen eye for art may want to check out Costa Teguise while staying in Lanzarote villas in the months to come

The resort is now displaying a series of venues which help track the life of Spanish artist and architect Cesar Manrique.

For instance, holiday makers have the chance to glimpse a key design which Mr Manrique created for Costa Teguise's Pueblo Marinero building.

The Cesar Manrique Foundation, a former home of the artist and architect located in Tahiche, is also available to view as part of the attraction.

An eye-catching interior courtyard garden and a residential complex, both found in Costa Teguise, are other sights being put in the spotlight during the event.

Families snapping up villas in Lanzarote may also want to keep an eye out for a new sports marina which is to be created in Arrecife in the near future.

A series of swimming pools, a fresh harbour and commercial ventures are all planned for the location, the Lanzarote Guidebook recently reported.
