Seek out Lanzarote villas for Mar en Calma

Holiday makers heading out on last-minute flights to Lanzarote villas will be in for a treat if they arrive in the Canary Island hot spot in time for the weekend.

That is because the destination will be host to the Mar en Calma festival between July 29th and 30th.

Translated as Calm Sea in English, the attraction is presented in the resort of Playa Honda, which can be found between the popular havens of Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen.

Brits who take a trip to Mar en Calma will be presented with an event that showcases an array of dazzling street theatre performances with live music sets.

Some of the highlights for holiday makers to enjoy include a family-friendly theatre show by Somos on Friday evening, which is followed by musician Luis Morera taking to the stage.

People staying in Lanzarote villas in the upcoming months are also likely to be in the midst of an array of classical music performances, taking place across the island between now and the start of September.
