People opting to take up last-minute flights to enjoy a getaway to Lanzarote villas will be in for a treat when they arrive in the destination.

The popular Canary Island hotspot will be host to the 3rd Saborea Lanzarote Food and Wine Festival this Saturday (November 26th) and Sunday.

Lanzarote's capital city Teguise is the setting of the special occasion, which will see a large pavilion set up around the resort's main square.

Here, those taking up stays in villas in Lanzarote can sample a host of delicious food and wine tastings, while various other stalls will be displaying a wide array of other products.

Parents can also take away knowledge of local recipes, as professionals in the industry are to hold informal discussions, while entertainment is also set to be on hand for children to enjoy.

Fans of classical music may also want to note that British baritone opera singer John Morgan will be performing in Lanzarote's Puerto Calero resort this Friday, before moving on to Teguise the next night.
