Rent a Lanzarote villa holiday for excellent value

Holiday makers renting a Lanzarote villa holiday will find that a wonderful vacation on the island needn't cost an arm and a leg.

There is plenty to do on the volcanic island, part of the Canaries, and lovers of fine food, art and culture will all find plenty to keep them occupied.

According to the Telegraph, one of the top attractions on the island is the collection of art on display from Cesar Manrique, a local architect who makes exciting sculptures and structures from the volcanic landscape.

Beyond his work, the artist is also celebrated for the important role he has played in protecting Lanzarote from overdevelopment.

The newspaper reports that he was pivotal in the fight for buildings to be no higher than the tallest palm trees.

What's more, the Cesar Manrique foundation in Taro de Tachiche is also open to the public, while the artist's wind sculptures have been put up for display on the island's roundabouts.

Those wanting some peace and quiet while on their Lanzarote holiday could benefit from staying in an inland villa, or the sheltered south coast.
