Rediscover 'joys of the beach' on holiday in Lanzarote
Holidays in Lanzarote may be centred on spending time at the island's vast array of beautiful beaches, especially if the advice of one traveller is taken into account.
Jane Dee, writing a letter to the Daily Telegraph, urges her fellow tourists to take in La Hoya when visiting the Canaries.
She says it is a good opportunity to get away from the large crowds that gather on the most established and renowned beaches.
La Hoya – and in particular the coastline just to the west of it – is a picturesque spot where Ms Dee notes people can "rediscover the joys of rock pools".
"Put on footwear with a good grip and head to the coastline. You'll soon spot bright pink crabs scuttling across the black rocks," she states.
Monarch recently announced it is running extra flights to Lanzarote and a host of other destinations in April to cope with increased holiday demand.
