New zoological park coming to Lanzarote

Families will soon be able to take in a new zoological park when they take up stays in villas in Lanzarote.

The new centre is set to be developed on the Canary Island hotspot in the near future, following an agreement between the island's government and Guinate Park.

As a result of the deal, Guinate Park, Rancho Texas Park and Costa Teguise's Aquarium will work together in order to establish various conservation programmes in Lanzarote, as well as participating in environmental education schemes.

Once the new zoological park is created, people booked into Lanzarote villas will be given the opportunity to glimpse at an array of the island's native wildlife.

The centre will also form a base in which injured animals that cannot survive in a natural habitat can recuperate.

Holiday makers heading on holidays to Lanzarote may also be pleased to hear that the Costa Teguise beaches of Playa Bastian, Playa Las Cucharas and Playa Los Charcos have all been awarded universal accessibility ratings.
