Natural wonders 'will amaze those on holiday in Lanzarote'
Tourists intending to enjoy some winter sun on holiday in Lanzarote have been advised to visit a couple of natural wonders.
Stella Kaye, writing for Helium, notes the first of these is the lava tunnels at Jameos del Agua, which are located in the north of the island.
The author suggests the site, which is part of a larger six-kilometre tunnel, is something that holiday makers "must not miss".
Ms Kaye's second recommendation is the lagoon at El Golfo, which she describes as "truly amazing".
"Set against a backdrop of multi-coloured rock strata beside a beach of black sand, the light changes practically by the minute and the photographic possibilities are endless," the writer explains.
Both of the spots can be navigated by those using a villa in Lanzarote as a base this winter.
The Canary Islands were this week highlighted by Bob Atkinson, travel expert at Travelsupermarket.com, as one of the top places to top up the tan this winter.
