Moscow Ballet to perform The Nutcracker in Lanzarote
Families looking to get into the festive spirit while taking last minute trips to Lanzarote are in for a Christmas treat.
The world-renowned Moscow Ballet is set to perform a unique take on the well-loved festive story The Nutcracker on the popular Canary Island on December 10th.
Parents and children are sure to find themselves lost in the tale, which will be played out at the Island Theatre in Arrecife from 7pm local time.
Long seen as a festive favourite, The Nutcracker follows the story of a set of presents which come alive on the night of Christmas Eve, with the Harlequin, the Columbine and the Nutcracker among the most memorable characters.
Tchaikosvky's famous musical score will also likely have audiences breaking out in song throughout the show.
Although splitting ballet fans at its premiere in St Petersburg, Russia, in 1892, The Nutcracker has gone on to become one of the most famous festive ballets across the globe.
